Promoting social regeneration to bring about positive impact to local communities

About Us

Active Heritage was formed as a social enterprise in 2011. As a social enterprise we are a not-for-profit company, any surplus generated from our activities are reinvested to further, sustain and achieve our mission of regeneration. For Active Heritage, regeneration is defined by the statements ‘bringing again into activity and prominence’ and ‘forming again with improvements’. Our key principles are renewing, reconstituting and continuous improvement.

Our primary object is the promotion of regeneration by all or any of the following means; education, training or retraining; the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities including the preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance; the provision of sport and active recreation; and the protection or conservation of the environment.
